7. Realized how bad I hate frost on my windshield.
8. Wasted my time watching the Mummy. (I don't really recommend it).

As you can see, overall, it was a VERY eventful day! ha!

Park City

 

  This past week, my sisters Kendall, Kate, and I had the chance to go up to Park City to visit 

because Kate had never been there. We were out of school for Fall Break, so we took off and drove up to PC. We did a lot of shopping at the outlet malls. Kendall went crazy and bought lots of cute clothes. We stopped at Zumies and there was this very attractive boy who almost got me to buy a snowboard package (don't worry... I'm gonna go up there next week and buy it :)) He was super good looking and maybe next time I go up there, I can get him to actually teach me how to ride sometime this winter!  

   Then, we drove over to Main Street and checked out the cute shops and ate dinner at Davanza's. I definitely recommend it. It's this fun pizza and sub place that has a great atmosphere. After that, we took the Trolley up the street.  It looked like the one on Full House at the beginning. I loved it! After riding the Trolley we went to this amazing picture shop. There were pictures of animals that this photographer spent days trying to capture. It really was incredible.

Then we concluded our trip by going to the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.

  Get the Apple Cinnamon Caramel Apple. Loved it.  I highly recommend going to Park City.

Swimming has-been

So... this past weekend was our BYU Alumni meet. I can't believe it's been a year since my last first meet of the season. This meet was an opportunity for me to get back in the water and race, but I decided I would wait to race until I have been done for a little bit longer. I can't tell you how weird it is to see my fellow teammates competing while I'm sitting on the deck cheering them on. Swimming has been my life! And now that I'm done, I feel a little bit lost. It's all good though! No worries! There were a lot of old swimmers that came back to visit. It was so good to see everyone!

MISS Smith

Okay, so I got hired to intern at Meadow Elementary School in Lehi. This has definitely been an adventure! I really had no idea what I was getting myself into. I thought that teaching 7 year-olds would be a breeze! It's much more preparation, schooling, and work than I thought. The first day of school seemed to go... well... interesting. Telling my students that my name is Carly, instead of Miss Smith, going back to eating elementary school lunch, and having little Eliana barfing all over my class didn't really do it for me. Even though things happen and it is a lot of work, I really wouldn't trade it for anything right now! I have the BEST class in the world! They are amazing cute kids that are all so different that it makes my class so enjoyable.

This trip happened about a month ago, but I LOVE this place so much! This summer was my first time going, and I really think I found my favorite place in the whole world. A small group of my siblings and friends went to Moab and hiked Delicate Arch, went cliff jumping at Left Hand, went and "swam" (it was lightening, so we kind of waded) at Ken's Lake, saw a jeep stranded due to flash flooding, went to every shop open on Main Street, and ate at good ol' Zak's Pizza Place within 2 days. AMAZING trip. Loved every minute of it! Oh yeah, the second picture is the first time we went to Moab. That trip was quality!

Being Crafty!!

So... I've given in. My sisters, friends, and fellow teachers are forcing me to start this whole blogging thing. Actually, it's me. I have this goal of becoming more "crafty" and so I consider this my crafty experience for the year. So here I am. Just blogging away! I hope you all enjoy this diary about me.
