St. George

This weekend, we got to head down to BEAUTIFUL St. George. I really needed to get away, so it was a nice break from life. We stayed at Logan's sweet grandparents home. We were able to go to Zions National Park and go for a fun hike up to Emerald Pools and also hiked the Grotto. It was so nice to see the beautiful mountains and nature around. We were able to swim, bike, and longboard back at the grandparents house too. It was just a nice break.

DEMO DAY

On Saturday, I convinced my sisters-Kate and Candice to come skiing with Logan and I. They went to Park's and got rentals and we headed up to Sundance. We skied for a while and they both did AMAZING for their first time going. I was very impressed. After a few runs, I realized it was demo day and could try whatever pairs of ski's I wanted! I was in HEAVEN!

Kate and Candice stayed for a while, and then decided they were done so they went home. Chance, Logan's bro came up and skied with us too. We were going crazy.
Slushy snow+good company+2012 powder skis=pretty freaking good day.

So if anyone ever feels inclined to buy me some ski's, you can choose between the following:

Beautiful.

Your hair is everywhere...

So this fella... PJ is about the hairiest animal around. We've had him for a year and love him to death! Logan's parent's dog, Lu had puppies and PJ is her offspring. He is an english setter and loves to chase the birds.. or golf balls.. or frisbees... or shoes... whatever. He is also very large
(75 pounds) and LOVES to cuddle.

PJ is a pretty loveable dog. Too bad he slobbers everywhere AND he's already a daddy! (At age 1.. That may or may not make him the youngest papa around.) PJ likes to visit my parents house for his playtime with their dogs. Forgetting that Princess, my parent's brittany spaniel isn't fixed, PJ went to town and I'm sure ACCIDENTALLY impregnated her. Cute puppies though. Not one of them looks like their mama.. therefore not being able to hide the evidence that our dog was the culprit. Don't worry. If you see spotted puppies around the neighborhood, he's probably just fulfilling his creation here on earth. Just kidding. We're getting him fixed next month.

This pup makes our house pretty dang hairy as well. Vacuuming once a day isn't always enough. I have a love-hate relationship with him for that very reason. Too bad we don't have a big backyard to keep him outside ALL the time. BUT.. he makes us laugh and is pretty much the greatest dog around!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I have the sweetest husband ever. He is so kind and loving. I definitely married up. He's great. I knew Logan had to work on Monday until 8, so we had to do our celebrating on Saturday.
While we were cleaning the house, Logan said he had to run a few errands. I said ok. The next thing I knew was him walking in with a dozen of roses the same color as our wedding flowers, and two big gift bags. He was so sweet. We then exchanged gifts and he took me to Chef's Table.
I'm more in love with him now (not because of Valentine's... just because....) then I was the day we were married.
I love you babe!

Grand Targhee

We went to Wyoming and spent the weekend skiing at Grand Targhee! It was such a needed break! I loved every minute of it. We even got to ski right up to our door. When we got sore or tired, there was an outdoor heated pool and hot tub. I felt the love.

Logan has this tradition of doing a backflip at Grand Targhee. So... here it is!

New Year's Resolution

We had a pretty eventful New Year's Eve. We watched a movie at my parents house to bring in the new year! It was quite a night. After the ball had dropped, we went home, sat in bed, and told eachother our New Year's resolutions. So.. Here they are. (Some of them...)

1. Eat healthier. We tend to go out to eat A LOT. Lazy me. I don't like to cook. Thus, this resolution is perfect for me!

2. Work out more. We always have excuses for not working out. Excuses are like butts. They all stink.

3. Be less judgemental. I always do this... I'm so horrible. I'm not perfect, so why should I be judging others?

ok... the rest I'm not posting on here. There are WAY too many. Happy New Year's!

The Best 2nd Grade Christmas Present.

For Christmas this year in our 2nd grade class, my students wanted to do something different. So I was researching what we could do, and found this website from another teacher that gave me a great idea. We made these "Holiday Hope Chests" for boys and girls who will be spending Christmas at Primary Childrens. My students were SO excited about this. I was nervous, because the students had to donate some unopened toys and empty shoe boxes-and I hate asking parents for donations. Well, I was surprised by the amount of toys and boxes that were donated. The parents got involved and helped where they could. We wrapped the shoe boxes and the kids decorated them. My students then wrote individual letters to the kids in the hospital and placed them in their holiday boxes. I was overwhelmed by the amount of help and support I recieved for this service project. My students were thrilled to do this and I was so happy to see that they were so willing to help others during this Christmas season.
